1. Processing Your Order and Delivery Dates

When placing your order with PRD Upholstery, we will give an estimated delivery date. This is an estimated delivery time in weeks, however, occasionally there could possibly be delays due to busy periods. We will be sure to advise of any delays that may occur.

2. Delivery & Installation

PRD Upholstery charges £49.00 per delivery within the Glasgow area. Any delivery’s out with the Glasgow area will be charged an extra £1.50 per mile. Deliveries in mainland Scotland only.

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to the Scottish Highland & Islands, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man.

Delivery is charged at £49.00 to the following postcodes:

all G, all ML, PA1, PA2, PA3, PA4, PA5, PA6, PA7, PA8, PA9, PA10, PA11, PA12, PA13, KA1, KA2, KA3, KA4, KA16, KA17, FK1, FK2, FK3, FK4, FK5, FK6, FK7, FK8, FK9

3. On Delivery

On the day of delivery, please ensure that our delivery team will be able to gain easy access to the room your furniture is for. We ask that the room is clean and ready for the delivery of your new furniture. Our delivery team will unwrap and place the goods in the position you require, where required we will assemble Dining Tables, and attach feet if required within our delivery cost. There will be an additional charge to assemble Wardrobes. We regret that we are unable to fit Wall-mounted items. We strongly recommend this is done by a qualified fitter. Our delivery team will remove all packaging from your home.

To ensure you are completely satisfied with your order our delivery team will ask you to thoroughly inspect the goods before asking you to sign their paperwork.

How long will I have to wait for delivery?

Delivery times vary according to the type of product and the manufacturer. We give an indication of delivery time next to each product description but can vary occasionally. We will always notify you as soon as possible of any delays. Usually when more than one item is ordered all items will be delivered at the same time.

How do you carry out deliveries?

Large items are transported directly to your home in specially equipped furniture vans and are carried in by trained furniture delivery staff. Smaller items may be delivered by a parcel service.

What if I am unable to take delivery of my order when it is ready?

If you are having work done in your home please be aware that building projects are frequently delayed. If you are unable to take delivery of your furniture when it is ready we will store it for you free of charge for a maximum of 21 days.

4. Payment

Payments can either be made in cash or debit cards. We accept all major cards including Visa and Mastercard’s. We also accept Bacs payments. Bank details will be given on request.

5. Cancellations Before Delivery

If you have ordered items from our ‘Warehouse stock’, subject to the clause below relating to ‘Special Order’ items you have the right to cancel your order at any time prior to delivery. We require the cancellation by email to info@prdupholstery.co.uk. Once we have received notification of your cancellation we will refund all moneys paid.

Any ‘Special Order’ items may not be cancelled before or after delivery. These items have been specially manufactured to your specific requirements; therefore, we have no obligation to take these goods back, however, at the discretion of PRD Upholstery we may from time to time agree to take ‘Special Order’ goods back with a restocking charge of 35% of the purchase cost less any delivery charge.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Refunds/Returns after delivery

Bespoke ‘Special order’ items are manufactured to your specific choice. Items where a lead-time is quoted, or the terms ‘Special order’ appear on your order are considered bespoke and specially made for you and are therefore as far as it is permissible by Law excluded from the Distance Selling Regulations. In respect of these items, our usual Refund policy does not apply and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

Items from stock. Under the Distance Selling Regulations when you buy items from our ‘Warehouse or Shop’ stock your consumer rights entitle you to a full refund. If you decide to cancel your contract after the goods have been delivered, we will refund the original purchase price and delivery cost, if you have notified us by email or in writing no longer than 14 days after the day you received the delivery. The goods must be ‘as new’ before we will accept a return. Mattresses, Divan Beds, Pillows, Duvets & Mattress Protectors are exempt from Distance Selling Regulations once they have been removed from their original packaging.

PRD Upholstery will make a charge of £75 should you require our delivery service to collect your unwanted goods. Our delivery team will inspect goods thoroughly before collection to ensure that they are in good condition.

7. Damaged or Faulty Goods

PRD Upholstery makes every effort to ensure that your order is delivered in perfect condition and without defects.

If however damage or faults are found on delivery our delivery team will photograph the damage/defect and fill out a Service form which they will request you to sign detailing the damage/defect. If damage/defect is found after delivery you MUST contact us within 30 days of delivery of your goods.

8. Governing law, jurisdiction and complaints

The Contract (including any non-contractual matters) is governed by the law of Scotland

Disputes can be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland or, where the Customer lives in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, in the courts of respectively England and Wales or Northern Ireland.

We try to avoid any dispute, so we deal with complaints in the following way:

If any goods are faulty; or unfit for purpose you may return them within 14 days and get a full refund. After 14 days and up to 6 month we can replace faulty goods, goods unfit for purpose or as not described. We reserved the right to choose whether to repair or replace goods. If the repair or replacement is unsuccessful you are entitled to a full refund.
